Studio Elke teamed up with the bold and visionary interior stylist, YSG, to furnish 10 uniquely designed rooms for Sydneys Collectionist Hotel.
Touted as a choose-your-own-adventure style hotel, guests are invited to select their own room at check-in, based on the interior style that they’re most drawn to, and can choose from a suite of vibrant and uniquely designed spaces.
The Collectionist, in Sydney’s inner west, pushes the concept of individualised patron experiences. Each of the 39 guest rooms within this boutique hotel (a former warehouse) were collaboratively designed by four creative studios, and 13 artists, of which YSG devised 10 eclectic suites. Budget restraints dictated innovative solutions; including trope l’oeil details suggestive of marble surfaces and theatrical flourishes plus gingham patterns. Underfoot, Studio Elke's custom carpets evoke majestic palazzo floors for a regal landing.
