Whilst all effort goes into the quality and construction of our intricate, handmade pieces, we do use delicate materials, such as resin, which require extra care.
Resin is like glass or ceramic and WILL BREAK IF DROPPED OR KNOCKED. We will not accept any returns 0f items that have been clearly mishandled. All items are designed to be durable, and we work hard to ensure that the item you receive is of considerable quality. On the occasion that a piece arrives imperfect please notify us within 7 days and we will replace or repair. We do not offer refunds when we can replace or repair. After 7 days we are not liable for any issues with quality.
Jewellery care.
Elke Kramer jewellery is costume jewellery and uses non-precious metals such ans brass or a copper with fine rose gold plating.
We coat all our metals with an anti-tarnish coating, but pieces will begin to gentle tarnish as soon as the are out of the box and contact with the skin will increase the oxidation. You can bring the piece back to its early glory buy gently polishing with any regular metal polish, such as Silvo, and a soft rag. A tarnished metal is not a bad aesthetic, however, and can add to the ‘vintage’ feel of the piece.
Be careful not to overpolish the rose -gold plated pieces as we use only fine coating in order to keep or retail prices down.
Some people have a chemical make up which causes their skin to react with certain base metals. If you notice a green colour under the ring band please be assured there is nothing wrong with the piece, but it is a reaction of certain skins and skin products. Moisture and acid in sweat increase this reaction. A common solution is to paint clear nail polish onto the band in order to prevent the green staining.
Damages and faults.
All items are quality checked but occasionally there may be a fault we didn’t find. If an item arrives to you and is faulty or broken, we will happily replace or provide a full refund if the item is no longer available, provided you notify us within 7 days of receiving your parcel.
Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a fault. Jewellery and especially resin items are delicate and should be handled carefully. All pieces come with care instruction information that should be adhered to. Please see Jewellery Care on the website for more information regarding this.
If an item is damaged or faulty in any way, do not hesitate to contact us. On occasion we are able to repair the item in house and will do so free of charge.
Please contact shop@elkekramer.com with details and a photo of the damaged piece and we will be happy to help if repairing is possible.
If the piece is damaged within 6 months of purchase date we will pay for all shipping costs, however if the piece became damaged 6 months after the purchase date customers will be responsible for all shipping & re-shipping charges for the damaged item.
